Manage shifts

Shifts refer to the pattern or schedule of work hours for employees, either for your clients or your own organization. Common types of shifts include Day Shift, Evening Shift, and Night Shift.

Add Shifts

  1. Navigate to the 'Shifts' tab.

  1. Click on the "Add Shift" button.

  1. In the form that appears, add a name for the shift to help identify it within the system.

  2. Select the start and end time of the shift, for example, a morning shift might start at 09:00 AM and end at 05:00 PM.

  3. Choose the weekdays when this shift will apply, such as Monday to Friday (MO to FR).

  4. Optionally, you can select whether the shift is Fixed, Open, or follows an Adhoc Schedule. This option allows for flexibility in managing different work patterns.

  5. You will also have the option to add specific times for pickups, drop-offs, and open booking slots during the shift.

  1. Once all details are entered, click the "Save" button.

Here's how you might structure the information:

  1. Name: The name or identifier of the shift.
  2. Start Time: The start time of the shift.
  3. End Time: The end time of the shift.
  4. Weekdays: Indicates which days of the week the shift occurs. (e.g., SUMOTUWETHFRSA for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday)
  5. Fixed Adhoc Schedule: Option for setting a fixed schedule or an ad-hoc schedule.
  6. Open Adhoc Schedule: Option for setting an open ad-hoc schedule.
  7. Start Time: Start time for an ad-hoc schedule.
  8. End Time: End time for an ad-hoc schedule.

Edit the Saved Shifts

  1. Click on the Edit Icon: Find and click on the 'Edit' icon.

  1. Update Shift Details: Enter new details or modify existing information in the shift schedule as needed, such as start and end times, assigned employees, or location.
  2. Save Changes: Confirm that all modifications are correct, then click the 'Save' button to apply and save the changes to the shift record.
